Collaborative Poem by:
Stephen Mupoto [Ngugi Wamkiri]
Norman Mwale [The PenPusher]
High on the rostrum of Fame,
They induct him into the Hall of Fame,
For his role to defame.
On his shoulders responsibility we shelved,
And religiously to task he delved,
Until the encroachment of the Greens.
The spindle in our knit,
Whose pattern was meticulous,
Became a rugged patch of infamity.
Was this halcyon sky,
Whose pelage was the morning
rays and the static galaxy
But now the owl with prominent
Ear turfs
And the horned toad,
A wave chameleon on its brand,
And
Fragranced with seraphic scent,
They are Lullabies that blind sleep
The green republic
So can excite, sopour with the virgins,
In grunge political confinements,
To sow in still born tiddlers
With promised promises pall in the
Cold
With their protrusions of the owl,
Of no beneficial use to social
Misfortunes!
