This short story written by Shukur Kholmirzaev is a love story of three seemingly innocent teenagers, Jamshid, Umida and Tilovbergan, which ends like a dark night.
Jamshid’s feelings are like a tangled thread, although Tilovbergan expresses his feelings in his brother’s language, he is more courageous than his brother.
Blinded by his unrequited love for Jamshid,
It is very sad that an 18-year-old girl, who wants “revenge”, blackens her happiness, interprets life as Chekhov’s play, and uses Tilovbergan’s innocent love as a tool for her revenge. With this work, even though he is a stepfather, he brings dust to the happiness of his brothers, who are closer than blood.
This can also be understood when Umida repeats a fragment of a poem by Lermantov:
i want to live
I want sadness
Bitter-bitter for love and happiness.
Among these events, the writer emphasizes the post-war period, he mentioned the heroes who died in the Second World War with a number of images and names.
At the same time, a number of historical settlements and historical-artistic narratives were also mentioned.
Yes, my dears, the story itself is small, but maybe you will draw new conclusions for yourself after reading it.
Without telling you exactly how the story ends, I would like to leave you with an excerpt from a letter written by Umida:
…”I wanted to be a person and live without deceiving people and without deceiving myself…”
