Safina Party leader Jimmy Wanjigi met a delegation of Kariobangi North community leaders and the party’s MCA candidate, Christopher Ochieng Wandera (Dangote), as preparations intensify for the November 27 by-election. The meeting took place at the party’s headquarters in Kwacha House, where officials discussed how to deepen voter engagement in the area.
During the session, leaders reviewed concerns raised by residents in earlier visits, touching on stalled local projects, youth opportunities, and the rising cost of living that continues to weigh heavily on many families. Wanjigi said the party intends to hold more direct forums in Kariobangi North before the poll, noting that community input will determine the campaign’s direction.
He described Kariobangi North as the gateway to the economic revolution Nairobi County urgently needs. He noted that while some may underestimate the party’s resolve, Dangote has shown steadfast determination to overcome challenges and advance the vision of economic transformation that Safina is championing.
“I am proud to say that Dangote and I and the people of Karibangi are united, because we speak the same language, economic revolution. Our commitment is not symbolic we are intentional and resolute in supporting Dangote all the way to the finish line. If he wins, we all win. This is not just a campaign, it is a movement to reclaim the future for the people of Kariobangi North. Dangote’s decision to join the Safina Party underscores his determination to serve the community. Despite the setbacks he has faced, he has remained determined in promoting civic reform, good governance, and economic empowerment,” he stated.

Party officials described the upcoming vote as an important test of Safina’s growing presence in urban wards. They added that the team is relying on door-to-door outreach and small group discussions rather than large rallies, which they believe give residents more room to express themselves freely.
“We are streamlining the party registration process. Anyone committed to an economic revolution is welcome. Empowerment is the foundation of success, and we are the liberating party. We are no longer on the sidelines, we are stepping forward to claim the change we deserve,” underscored Willis Otieno, Safina Deputy Party Leader
Safina Party has intensified its campaigns ahead of the upcoming by-elections and will field candidates in Narok Town, Mbeere North, and Kariobangi North, with Dangote representing the party in Kariobangi North.
“I want to be a pioneer for this party, and I am ready to lead. The people of Kariobangi North can be assured of financial and economic freedom. Together, we will end the cycle of debt and break free from the financial crisis that has held our community back for too long,” remarked
Before meeting the Kariobangi delegation, Wanjigi had met a group of young people and content creators who had gathered at Kwacha House for the handover ceremony of the air tickets for Baby Gift, a child whose story has drawn widespread attention online. The young mother, known to many only as Mama Gift, has struggled to secure funds for specialised treatment for her son, who suffers from cerebral palsy, chronic asthma, and heart complications.
This air ticket will facilitate the travel of the mother, child, and their caregiver. Its a privilege to be part of this great movement, one that embodies what it truly means to be Kenyan, standing together in both joy and adversity,” he said.
This move by the Safina, the content creators said would ease the burden on the mother and speed up medical arrangements. Baby Gift will be travelling to India tomorrow Wednesday 19th, to seek medication at an hospital in India.
The group call for help grew rapidly, drawing thousands of supporters. On October 26, a large crowd travelled to Embu to stand with the family, turning what began as a simple social media fundraiser into a nationwide gesture of compassion.
