Nyeri County Senator Ephraim Maina Kirinyaga (left) confers with businessman Thuo Mathenge at Karatina stadium in Mathira constituency during the burial ceremony of former Civic Leader Wachira Dawanol. The duo has declared interest for the Nyeri gubernatorial seat currently held by Mutahi Kahiga. Dozens of local leaders attended the ceremony with both Kirinyaga and Mathenge hitting out at the current leadership in the county for the deteriorating health services. Separately, the two promised to among other things priorities improvement of the health dub sector once elected.
