Zimbabwean nation and it’s Poets moan together with fellow country nation of Kenya, through this sad requiem dedicated to our Father- Former President Of The Republic Of Kenya whose prematurely departure submerged the entire Universe in to Volcanic Tremors! May His Soul rest peacefully and in power!
Your prematurely departure could have Side- stepped your fellow brothers and Sisters of our demesne
But pen and paper overwhelmed evil by Shedding black cyclosis tears
That over flooded the whole Continent With volcanic tremors
Depositing fine debris of the atrocious Word
That snapped Africa’s vision Unaccomplished
And the giant footsteps you left visibly to All, are foreshadows of how big Africa
And her denizens will proceed to the glorifying seasons,
Your shadow will speak vast epitaphs.
Your lagacy shall be printed in black and White ink to replete the books of Poetry And Prose
Uncleaving the beauty during your Leadership
And the nationl laments this void of the Comely Father of Africa
Who stood still torwads the well being of The black people,
You grappled economic and social
Revival for the black continent to blosom Forth
Through enhancing free primary education
To a black child, to lift higher the flag of African education!
Every sod of dust, every grain of sand Cast in your grave,
Is a reminder that a generation is sown,
And your legacy will outlive time.
Your deeds will live beyond our Generation,
And eulogies shall be written, sung and Recited herein and across the boundary Fence,
Orbituaries shall be scribbled on walls And everywhere
On the very epitaphs of history as both Sweet and sad memories,
Where your name shall forever be etched.
You remained a beacon, a phalanx of Glowing hope,
And in your trail, on the templates of Tolerance and inclusivity, you left behind,
We shall all subsist.
