Collaboration poem from Zimbabwean Poets-
Stephen Mupoto [Ngugi Wamkiri]
Norman Mwale [The PenPusher]
The antique stables,
Where stallions of fortune bolt,
Like proverbial war horses,
Studs of war that rule like a cue,
Of an unbalanced dice,
Still crave to break the broken
To shards
And still celebrate the outcome
Of this disaster
Moaner grass cry hollo
On this abrasive earth
Maimed by earthy justness,
Snivels under the brutal stomp
Of their drudgery edicts
That break the spine of immunity…
And like a raper bird
That treads the female that groans,
And still they fete the outcome
Of this cataclysm,
That leaves no forage unbruised
As being ever idolised
By this ecstasy
In their resplendent cuticles!
