By Evangelist Eric Musa
When this word Dominion comes to mind, it reminds me of my nick name when I resided in Mombasa, Mikindani from people who were fond of me and identified me with the word. Majorly also because I helped form a football club by the name Dominion United F.C, which brought great joy to them, and it went on to win the provisional league, and even to date in the year 2022, we have players from this team featuring in Kenyan top flight football. We thank God
In the verse (Genesis 1:26), it says, “…and let them have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”First, in refuting the “evolutionists,” God would not have given dominion of His beautiful planet earth to some semi-human primate. He entrusted it toa genius. He gave it to His greatest creation—man.
Within the word “dominion,” we have the root meaning “DOMINATE.” Dominion does not actually mean ownership, for God retains the ownership of the earth. But man, in essence, controlled it. He ruled it, and for all practical purposes it was his. Adam could do as he wished with the earth. God made this clear to him. In the current world, a human being can achieve Dominion through Christ Jesus(He says “I AM the Way, The Truth and the Life: John 14:6).
GLORY BE TO GOD, THE ALL KNOWING ELOHIM.
