Deputy President William Ruto has called President Uhuru Kenyatta to stop blaming games on his failures during his second term in office.
Speaking in Kisii during the Kenya Kwanza Economic Model, DP Ruto said Uhuru’s handshake wasted his second term in office making the big four agenda projects to stall.
He noted President Uhuru and Raila Odinga concentrated on the handshake and the BBI while forgetting the big four agenda which he implemented with the president in their first term in office.
“Those who were helping the president starting from his handshake brother are to blame because the president himself has said those who were given my role in government failed him,” said Ruto.
He noted after things have gone wrong, this is when they have started looking for him and at the same time blaming him for failure in government.
“Let’s meet during elections, I didn’t say it, they spoke for themselves ,we have a chance to make Kenya a better country come August,” said Ruto.
Ruto said the Kenya kwanza Economic model is here to change the politics of Kenya on what people want and not what politicians want.
The Deputy President said the main challenge for Kenyans is unemployment and changing the economy of the country which Kenya kwanza coalition is here to address.
The Kenya Kwanza coalition is in place to have a different conversation which is not about leadership position or changing constitutional but change the economic model through bottom up and this will be implemented in the Next three months.
He noted the coalition is on the ground to do validation on what should be given priority from different parts of the country including agriculture, business and economy and this should be given space in his government.
Ruto noted, his next government will build bigger and modern markets for all small business Kenyans for them to operate in condusive environment with water and sanitation, electricity and shelter.
ANC party Leader Musalia Mudavadi challenged the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga following the footsteps of Uhuru’s legacy.
“Raila is promising Kenyans to walk on his footsteps,we have seen what Uhuru’s government has done to kenyans, with the handshake in place, they have doubled inflation rate, making lives of Kenyans miserable and that’s where he want to take kenyans to ,” said Mudavadi.
On Thursday Kenya Kwanza going to hold same meeting at Nyamira County.
