About a girl I’m missing
So I took my pen
While the lines floated in my head
And her laughter in my ears.
I began the poem
I wanted to write a poem
For a girl I’m missing
And my pen wrote the lines
Silently and invisible
And when I was done
I was missing her still
More than when I began.
