President William Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and their spouses in Mathira yesterday

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua yesterday reiterated his commitment to ensure the new administration delivers its pledge to Kenyans.
The DP said he will diligently work on various assignments handed over to him by President William Ruto without fear or favour.
“Before my family, I would like to reiterate my commitment to assist you fulfill what we pledged to Kenyans,” Gachagua told President Ruto when he was given an opportunity to address thousands of mourners who attended the burial of his elder brother, Jack Reriani Gachagua at their Hiriga village home in Mathira constituency.
On his part, Dr Ruto told the mourners that his administration was out to uplift the living standards of all Kenyans.
Saying he knew the task ahead of him and his government was huge, the President said he would start revamping the economy by among other things reducing the current financial year budget by Sh300 billion.
The President noted that his administration had outlined several issues whose end product would to alleviate Kenyans from their current situation.
Dozens of leaders attended the burial ceremony.
