Businessman and Nyeri politician Joshua Mugo is the one who will face Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s best friend in Othaya constituency.
Mugo, under the Jubilee party ticket will be contesting the Chinga Ward County Assembly seat currently held by Kiruga Thuku who will be defending it with UDA party ticket.
Yesterday, Mugo who in the last General Election contested the Othaya constituency parliamentary seat but lost to Gichuki Mugambi was issued with the Jubilee party nomination certificate by its Director of Elections and Kieni MP Kanini Kega.
An exited Mugo said he was optimistic he would carry the day on August 9.
Mugo was facing opposition in the Jubilee party but after consultations, the party settled on him.
