Konyu-MCA-seeks-to-replace-Rigathi-Gachagua-in-Mathira
A section of Political leaders from Konyu Ward in Mathira endorsed their MCA Eric Wamumbi (center in the photo) as their preferred Mathira Constituency Parliamentary candidate. This is just three days after the current Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua who was to defend his seat on a UDA ticket was named to be the Deputy President William Ruto running mate in the upcoming general elections.
Others who are said to be seeking to replace the DP nominee as UDA parliamentary aspirant include Peter Githinji of Tropical Farm Management that specialises with international coffee sales and marketing.
Most Mathira voters are of Mr Githinji who they say is better placed with management as opposed to the first time MCA.
Today is the last day when those interested to replace Gachagua are supposed to express their interest by writing to UDA national nomination team.
