Democratic Party of Kenya (DP) chairman Peter Ndubai has pledged to prioritise infrastructure development, water access, agriculture and youth empowerment if elected Member of Parliament for Tigania West in the 2027 General Election.
Ndubai, who is seeking the Tigania West parliamentary seat, said the constituency requires leadership with a clear vision, practical solutions and a strong commitment to inclusive development.
He said his administration would focus on ensuring that development reaches every part of the constituency and creates opportunities for families, young people, women, farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs.
Ndubai listed improvement of rural roads, bridges and drainage systems among his key priorities, saying better infrastructure would help connect farmers, businesses and communities while opening up markets and improving the movement of goods and people.
He also promised to push for expanded water projects, including boreholes, to improve access to clean and reliable water for households, schools and livestock.
On agriculture and livestock, Ndubai said he would advocate for modern farming practices, better markets, value addition and livestock development programmes aimed at increasing household incomes.
He said education and youth empowerment would also form a central part of his agenda, with emphasis on strengthening schools, supporting students and creating opportunities for skills development, employment and entrepreneurship.
Ndubai further pledged to support women and small businesses by pursuing programmes that would expand access to economic opportunities, markets and sustainable sources of income.
On healthcare and social protection, he said he would advocate for accessible medical services while pushing for stronger support for vulnerable families, older persons and widows.
The DP chairman also identified security and community development as key areas of focus, promising to work with residents and relevant authorities to promote peace, protect livelihoods and enhance security.
Ndubai said accountable leadership would underpin his approach to representing the people of Tigania West, promising to promote transparency and ensure public resources are used in the interests of residents.
“A prosperous Tigania West cannot be built through promises alone. It requires vision, unity, accountability and decisive leadership,” he said.
He described his candidature as an opportunity to usher in a new chapter of grassroots development and leadership that listens to residents.
“Tigania West Forward. Development for Every Family. Opportunity for Every Generation,” he said.
