Memory Phiri [Memories]
Abigirl Phiri [Gail Phill]
As l stand on the sidewalk
Eye keeping on life’s freted promise
I have this premonition;
That my fate is fettered,
In the chains of unremitting servitude,
And drool under the brace of dearth!
Fleeted dreams stalked me assidously.
Hollow palms itch penury,
As the gods deflect darkness across my Aborted ambition!
The meaning of hopelessness is not lost on me
As bile rise in my mouth without ceasing
Life is surely frecking my head off,
It’s always been heart wrecking,
To know that hopelessness is an ail
That always be the bane of my existence!
