Unknown property at Igonga Boys School razed down

Police officers have launched investigation at Igonga Boys in Bonchari Sub County, Kisii County after the fire razed down a dormitory.
Fire razed down a dormitory housing 192 students destroying property of unknown value
According to the report the watchman noticed flames emitting from the dormitory.
The watchman raised an alarm, and the neighbors arrived at the school to contain the fire.
Bomariba west chief, Benjamin Opanga confirmed the incident and he later alerted the police officers.
Mr Opanga saud that there were no fatalities in the early morning incident.
He said that the fire was contained, and there is no cause for alarm, all students are safe.
The root cause of the fire incidence is yet to be established.
Mr Opanga said that the exact value of the property is yet to be established.
Police officers who visited the scene warned that whoever is found culpable will face legal action.
