Nyeri County governor Mwalimu Mutahi Kahiga yesterday met hundreds of his government workers where he sought his support as he seek to defend his seat.
The governor met the workers at the county headquarters in Nyeri town where the team held prayers before he sought their support.
Mwalimu Kahiga outlined his achievements which he said could not have been realized were it not for their dedication.
On their part, the workers representatives who addressed the gathering disclosed that they were satisfied with his leadership and vowed to mobilize Nyerians to support his bid.
Kahiga is facing opposition from Jubilee’s candidate Eng Ephraim Maina Kirinyaga who is also the current Senator, businessman Dr Thuo Mathenge who is sponsored by The New Democrats (TND) party and Independent candidate Economist Peter Maina Munyiri.
