Cabinet Secretary Margaret Ndung’u with Principal Secretaries Edward Kisiang'ani and John Tanui

The new Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, Dr. Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u, has pledged to create an inclusive, open, and safe digital space for economic development.
She stated that the Ministry will support other Ministries on issues related to ICT so that citizens can use technology for social and economic development.
Dr. Ndung’u said she is learning about the operations of various departments and state corporations within the ministry and the people she will be working with.
She expressed her readiness to interact with officers at various levels to understand issues and address challenges.
The Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Prof. Edward Kisiang’ani, requested the heads of department to provide briefings about ongoing programmes in their sectors.
The Principal Secretary for ICT and Digital Economy, Eng. John Tanui, on the other hand, assured that officers would support her in delivering services to the citizenry as per the Ministry’s mandate.
