The DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua yesterday hosted hundreds of Maa speaking grassroot leaders at his Mathira residence.

Gachagua asked the Maa Community to work together, join hands with like-minded communities and form the next government together.

The former DP wooed the communities of Kajiado, Narok and Samburu grassroots leaders to join him in the quest of liberating the country from what he termed as corrupt individuals, informing them that the community is key in the course.

The DCP leader was speaking in his Wamunyoro residence where he brought together more than 500 ground mobilizers from the 3 counties for consultations.

Explaining to them the reason behind his difference with William Ruto that led to his impeachment, Gachagua has said the president betrayed him and the Mt. Kenya region despite him investing to support the president in the 2022 General Elections.

The former DP also added that the straw that broke the camels back was the Finance Bill 2024 and the subsequent killings of the Gen-z during the last year’s demonstrations, which he vehemently opposed against his former boss’s wish.

The former DP said that his other problem with the president was him wanting to divide the Mt. Kenya region into West and East, something that did not augur well with him.

He termed the president as a pathological liar and one who can not keep his word.

Gachagua wooed the Maa Community to be part of the formation of the next government, engaging them as his in-laws and asking them to continue co-existing with other communities for the betterment of their region.

On the dates and place of DCP Party launch, he requested the community to provide a venue for its launch after the government denied the party, Kasarani indoor arena.

The Maa Community accepted to host the launch which will take place on 7th July.

The former DP was accompanied by among other leaders; Kajiado Senator Seki Lenku, Kajiado North MP Onesmus Ngogoyo, Former Agriculture CS Muthika Linturi as well former Starehe Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda.
