Apostle Mapurazi left, Tapiwa Muganhu in the middle, Mrs Muganhu on the right
A Sunday service at Love of God International Ministries became a moment of shared joy as a family’s new vehicle drew prayer, praise and a powerful exhortation from the pulpit.

A Sunday service at Love of God International Ministries Pentecostal Church in Kwekwe took a joyful and unexpected turn when Tapiwa Muganhu arrived with his wife to seek a blessing over a brand-new vehicle, turning testimony time into one of the morning’s most memorable moments.
The sanctuary was already charged with expectation when Muganhu stepped forward to address the congregation. He told those gathered that the car was a direct answer to persistent prayer and faithful giving — a fruit, he said, of the teaching and intercession he had received at Love of God International Ministries under Apostle John Mapurazi’s leadership. “This is not luck,” Muganhu said. “It is the reward of hard work and prayers that were nurtured here, under my father Apostle and this church family.”
Mapurazi then led the congregation outside to the churchyard where the vehicle was parked. In a brief but resonant prayer of dedication, he anointed the car and declared protection, purpose and fruitfulness over Muganhu’s family and his work. The moment drew spontaneous worship and sustained applause from members who witnessed the blessing firsthand.
In his exhortation to the church, Mapurazi urged believers to hold their course. He encouraged the congregation to pray without ceasing, to exercise love among themselves, and to extend that same love to people of every denomination and background. Testimonies such as Muganhu’s, he said, were reminders that God still honours faithfulness in a generation that too often seeks shortcuts.
The service also became an occasion to recognise the strength behind the ministry. Mapurazi publicly acknowledged the support of his two wives, Mai Ano and Mai John Mapurazi, crediting them with sustaining the prayer culture, pastoral care and administrative diligence that keep the church vibrant. Church leaders noted that both women are active in counselling, women’s ministry and community outreach programmes that have extended the church’s reach well beyond its walls.
Congregants described the day as refreshing. For many, the combination of the Word, worship and a tangible testimony reinforced the church’s long-standing emphasis on prayer, discipline and mutual love. Ushers, the choir and the intercessory team were all commended for the seamless flow of a service that moved without interruption from praise through the Word to altar ministry.
By the time the benediction was spoken, the message had settled clearly over the room: Love of God International Ministries remains a house where prayer is practised, testimonies are celebrated and blessings are shared. As the congregation filed past the newly blessed vehicle on their way out, several members said they left carrying something they had not expected to find — renewed hope that diligence, faith and unity still open doors.
