- Nyambaria National School tops in Kisii with a mean grade of 10.8975 followed by Cardinal Otunga Mosocho Boys with mean grade of 10.76.
- Cardinal Otunga Mosocho High school also has shined in exams after the school had tried to regain its old glory by posting impressive results with a mean of 10.76 topping in Kisii County.
- The school registered 330 students in the 2022 KCSE exams whereby 28 students posted A, 201 students scored A- while 97 students scored B+, three students scored B and the last student scored B-
Nyambaria National School tops in Kisii with a mean grade of 10.8975 followed by Cardinal Otunga Mosocho Boys with mean grade of 10.76.
The school registered 488 candidates in KCSE 2022. With this high candidature the school posted a mean score of 10.8975.
In KCSE 2021 the school had a mean of 9.3086.
All the 488 students scored above C+, which is the minimum university entry grade. This translates to a percentage of 100% securing direct entry to university under placement body, KUCCPS.
The School had 28 students scored (A) ,383 scored( A- ), 76(B+) and ( B)1.
The school principal Charles Onyari attributed that the super results was out of teamwork, determination and discipline among the students and teaching fraternity.
“This is impressive results, we have attained in our school, we thank God,”he said.
Onyari cited that they are aiming higher to achieve the ever best results again.
“Getting these results required everyone to put in a lot of effort here. Success belongs to all of us and together, we work hard to achieve, “he said
Cardinal Otunga Mosocho High school also has shined in exams after the school had tried to regain its old glory by posting impressive results with a mean of 10.76 topping in Kisii County.

The school principal Chrispinus Owino said that the school has posted the most exemplary results in 2022 KCSE results which has never been recorded in the past years.
Owino said that the school mean has been improving gradually whereby it recorded a mean of 7.2 in 2021 results.
He cited that the good good grades was a result of team work .
“The good results indeed are going to motivate us, we applaud our parents, teachers and students for the good cooperation,”he said.
Owino noted, this is the best class the school had and through discipline and hardwork as they anticipated for the best grades.
The principal said they are ready to take Cardinal Otunga Mosocho back to where it belonged and they have already set the pace.
“We want to thank all stakeholders, our students, the church, parents and the ministry for teamwork,” Said Owino.
He noted they had anticipated for these results and it all came through team work and the teachers were cooperative and ready to Sacrifice.
“We finished our syllabus in first term and all through the year we were doing revision,” Said the school principal.
It has been our dream to take Cardinal back to where it belonged for those who remember well this school was the best in the region.
Joseph Momanyi a student said they never lost hope and they always wanted to take the school back to its glory.
“We used to look back at the results of our alumni and this motivated us,we had that energy to work hard and bring the glory back, Said Momanyi..
Kisii National School scored 12(A), 93(A-),117(B+),123(B),75(B-),70(C+),20(C),5(C-) and 2(D+).
Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Friday, January 20 released the 2022 KCSE results, revealing that 173,345 candidates scored the minimum university entry grade of C+ (plus).
A total of 881,416 candidates sat the exam, with the number of boys being 443,644 and girls 437,772.
The more than 173,000 candidates who have secured the minimum grade for university education was an increase from the 145,776 in the 2021 KCSE exam.
A total of 1,146 students scored A (plain) in the national exam.
