Keroche Breweries Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tabitha Karanja has eulogized retired president Mwai Kibaki as a visionary leader who provided very good business environment.
Ms Karanja said the late Kibaki’s tenure saw tremendous business growth as well remarkable improvement in all other economic sectors across the country.
“I’m deeply saddened by the passing on of the 3rd president of the Republic of Kenya. His excellency Mwai Kibaki will be remembered for his good leadership that leads to economic growth and development,” she said, adding, “During his tenure as the president many companies both local and international experienced tremendous growth and stability due to his leadership and fight against corruption”.
Ms Karanja who is an aspiring Senator for Nakuru County observed that President Mwai Kibaki provided a good business environment, free from corruption, good legislation that protected local industries supported by affordable tax regime that lead to growth and development the economy.
She noted, “It’s during his tenure between the year 2002 and 2012 that, Keroche Breweries Ltd experienced rapid growth, expansion of assembly line of production, adoption of new technology that has enabled us to compete effectively with multinational companies”.
The businesslady turned politician further observed, “During his regime Keroche Breweries Ltd got recognition and several Awards from his government for being the most innovative, competitive local brand producing high quality beer, thus breaking monopoly of foreign companies’ dominance in the brewing industry. His economic and financial policies provided an opportunity for business to grow through cheap and affordable loans for small and medium scale enterprises,” she.
In her message of condolences, Ms Karanja who will be running for the Nakuru senatorial seat on UDA ticket concluded, “Kenya has lost an icon whose legacy will be remembered by all.
R.I.P Mr President”.
