Among countries in the globe that has many unemployed persons is Kenya. This makes unemployment one of the problems that Kenya faces. The government has shown up many proposals to combat the problem. This is through coming up with different projects that are suitable to earn the youth something.
The projects are not permanent since they are during particular times. The project like “kazi mtaani” initiative is among the proposals set up by government to help the unemployment. The unemployment puzzle is very tough to solve. In the streets today, we many youths have the qualification skills and all the required documents, but the work spaces are minimal to cater for all the large number of the youth. In one job interview, a large number of youths will turn up to secure an opportunity.
The youth should not depend on the employment from the government since it’s not a guarantee and it always takes long time. Self-employment is the only way in which the youth can use to solve the puzzle the youth should attend seminars and workshops that will educate and guide them accordingly on how to be self-employed. Being self-employed is when you start your own business and you run them.
In terms of getting the capital, one can join money lending cooperatives. In the management of respective business, one should practice saving using the same cooperatives that gives loans and also through saving in the bank. This will help the business run well.
Risk taking is also one thing that the entrepreneurs should involve in management. In today’s world there are many businesses that one can start. For example, starting an electronic shop, a furniture work shop and even running a beauty shop and salon. These businesses will give you high capital.
Therefore, for a better nation, youth should venture into self-employment for them to have a daily. This will help to solve the unemployment puzzle
