Mahmudkhoja Behbudiy
(To Mahmudkhoja Behbudiy)
A pioneer of knowledge and wisdom,
A devoted soul stepped into the field.
Holding his burning heart in hand,
He led his people to a great path.
Rest and comfort were strangers to him,
His heart beat only for his nation’s pain.
His goal was clear, his vision bright—
A prosperous future for his people in sight.
Neither his wealth nor life did he spare,
Saying: “My people, break the chains you wear!
Seek knowledge, rise, and face the world,
Leave behind ignorance, let wisdom unfurl.”
Thus, I honor him with deep respect,
His name—Behbudiy—forever in our hearts.
His light will always guide our way,
A torch that burned for his nation’s fate.
