In recent days, it seems that sex is valued the most, which is not bad since it is an act that has become part of our lives. But why is more focus put to it including donations of free condoms in hospitals and institutions? Why should the same be applied to menstruating girls and women since they occur naturally while sex is practiced for fun and leisure?
It is so heartbreaking when we see innocent girls suffering depression due to lack of money to buy sanitary towel. This will lead some others to sell their bodies in exchange for money.
Despite that the government offers donations for sanitary towels, it is not enough like the way condoms are given out daily.
Girls encounter periods every month and thus they should be prioritized.
In other areas, women are forced to stay at the river or tear up their clothes to cover them up during their periods since they have nothing to wear.
It will be for the favour of women if government makes sanitary towels free.
