Early menopause is the onset of menopause before the age of 45.
It can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, medical treatments, lifestyle factors, and environmental causes.
Early menopause can result in a range of physical, emotional, and psychological effects. Physically, women can suffer from hot flashes, night sweats, trouble sleeping, vaginal dryness, and decreased libido.
Emotionally, they may feel depressed, withdrawn, and have trouble concentrating. Psychologically, the transition can lead to anxiety, stress, and a lack of self-confidence. In addition, early menopause can also increase the risk of chronic diseases such as osteoporosis and heart disease.
It is important for women with early menopause to access resources and support networks to manage the physical and emotional symptoms.
Counseling, lifestyle changes, and alternative treatments can provide relief and help manage the transition. It’s also important to focus on self-care, seek medical advice, and stay connected with loved ones. About 1in 10women suffer from this menopause.
