The Office of the Deputy President has a new Chief of Staff.
Ms Wanjiku Wakogi is the new staff boss at the second powerful political office in the country.
Yesterday, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua witnessed the change of guard where the outgoing Chief of Staff George McGoye handed over the reigns to Ms Wakogi at his Official residence in Karen, Nairobi.
A lawyer by profession, Ms Wakogi is a long-serving Public Servant who has led an illustrious career in various offices and Dldepartments where she has served with distinction.
Ms Wakogi has amassed a wealth of expertise in governance. The high-profile technocrat and team leader has risen through ranks and has served as the Secretary to State Corporations Advisory Commitee.
While witnessing the handover, Gachagua noted that Ms Wakogi’s entry in his office will inject renewed energy for effective and efficient discharge of the mandate of his office.
“We will accord her maximum support as she leads the team,” the Deputy President noted.
Gachagua observed that Mr McGoye, the Designate Ambassador to Djibouti served his office with utmost dedication.
“We thank him for his leadership as he proceeds to serve our beloved Nation in another capacity and wish him all the best in his endeavours,” he stated.
