All roads leads to the second city in Botswana, Oteng Chilume Airport shall receive authors from USA, Zimbabwe, Angola, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia and more on the 8th of March 2024.
More local authors in Botswana writing faith genre, novels, stories, Children’s books, and the book designers as well as publishers shall join together in one accord to network and discuss the growth and the improvement of their craftsmanship.
The event shall commence with the book donations at one school. Then the 8th shall be networking and in the evening an awesome red carpet night gala award ceremony to close the event.

The vice chancellor of Universidade Oscar Ribas is expected to be among the guest speakers, and other local University leaders shall be invited from Botswana.
The excitement is the confirmation of some scholarships as sponsorship from Gaborone University College of Law in Botswana to some winners.
The event is met with great enthusiasm as the deputy Mayor of the city clapped hands for the four youth particularly that they are women for the effort of making an educational event in times when book shortage is rife in the country and he commended the ladies to keep pushing as the sky is only the limit, and the mindset change approach of doing it ourselves as citizens especially young people set a lot of example and hope to the younger generation.

The Secretary of the event Mrs Otsile Pule said to the publication that more authors were calling to be part of the auditions and the quality of the books locally is of top notch looking at the other African books used in schools locally, the time has come to use and select more books locally in the curriculum.
The Marketing manager Mrs Onneile setlalekgosi indicated an out buzz of more international media having interest in the event like Malawi, Kenya, Angola as well as Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The publicist of the Book festival Mrs Charity Olorato Keobokile-Opelo said her television and print media interviews were going well, they had Mt Kenya times feature, Malawi news brief, and Angola Journal daily

newspaper feature, and more requests are coming through to cover the event. She emphasized local media also supports the event as she just came from the Day break show interview from Botswana television.
The Director of the Francistown International Book Festival Dr Paula O.M.Otukile said they plan to include the local banks, Cipa, CosBots, FANFABO, Botswana National Arts Council and more Book stake holders in the planning of the festival because Unity is power.
She said so far their outreaches were going well the highlight being welcomed by the Director of Baisago college with opened hands together with Gaborone college University of laws Director.
