On Friday, the Kenyan Gen Z X space engagement event unfolded, offering a platform for the young generation to express their thoughts, aspirations, and challenges. With a diverse lineup of speakers, interactive sessions, and a tech-driven agenda, the event aimed to bridge the gap between Gen Z and influential stakeholders. Here, we break down the hits and misses of this highly anticipated event.
The Hits
1) Inclusion and diversity
One of the standout successes of the event was its commitment to inclusion and diversity. The organizers ensured that voices from various backgrounds, including those from marginalized communities, were represented. This inclusivity fostered a rich and multifaceted dialogue that resonated with many attendees. The presence of speakers from different regions of Kenya and various industries provided a broad perspective on the issues affecting the youth today.
2) Interactive sessions and workshops
The interactive sessions and workshops were a major hit, allowing participants to engage directly with industry experts and thought leaders. While the event successfully engaged a substantial number of attendees, there was room for improvement in terms of reach.
