NGO In Partnership With Universities To Promote Essential Courses In Mt Kenya

A Non-Governmental Organisation, Teach2Give has partnered with several public and private universities in mount Kenya region in various fields.
The NGO is on a mission to transform education and employment prospects in Kenya through the training which targets youth interested in Information Technology, Finance and Customer Services marketing, among others courses.
Their main objective is to provide students with essential attachments, enabling them to earn their degrees, obtain work permits, and become legitimate employees.
Their commitment does not end with attachments as they also offer mentorship programs to sharpen skills those fields.
Last week saw some 135 students graduate and issued with certificates in a colourful ceremony that took place in Nyeri town and presided over by Nyeri Deputy Governor David Kinaniri.
The graduation took place after the students completed their twelve-week attachment in computer science, software engineering, software deployment and data quality engineering.
Teach2Give has partnered with different universities in the Mount Kenya region such Laikipia University, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, Kirinyaga University, Murang’a University and Chuka University.
Since the first cohort was launched in 2021, many young people have benefited from this program.
During the ceremony, the Deputy governor encouraged the students to embrace new opportunities, seek out challenges, and never stop striving for excellence in whatever they do.
“The County Government of Nyeri wishes to thank the Universities and other stakeholders who have worked with Teach2Give to bring hope and opportunities to these brilliant minds. We also welcome other youths to grab these opportunities,” the deputy governor said.
Kinaniri was accompanied by among others, Martin Ndirangu, Country Manager – Head of Growth and Strategic Alliances, Esther Ndung’u, CECM Youth, Gender and Sports, Prof Ndirangu Kioni, Mark Allen, the CEO Jitu among others.
