Teaching should be both heard and felt

- It is a stern way of warning someone. Through it you not only listen to verbal warning but also feel the pain so you would be associating that bad action or inaction that you are being warned about with pain that it can bring to you.
- When teaching someone the tonation should auger well with the subject for example when the issue being explained is a joyous one, it needs to manifest in the face of the narrator and be transmitted to the audience.
- If there was a joke involved finding the audience putting a stone face indicates either they have not understood the message or they are neither interested in it nor in the narrator.

To impart knowledge or to instruct someone on how to something is done could be referred to as teaching. It is meant at causing one to understand and retain or keep remembering what they have been taught and if possible be able to apply it appropriately for to achieve a certain goal like betterment of your live as well as lives of other people.
In case you do wrong especially after being warned several times there is a tendency of those who have been warning you to use more severe method than just verbal warnings to make the information sink deep within you and cause fear in you to an extent that you would not wish to engage in such a wrong deed any other time. This is usually done by inflicting pain in you. During our school days both primary and secondary some of the teachers used to cane us if we repeat mistakes knowingly, in some homes the parents use a similar strategy.

Where possible the orator need to keep his audience engaged in his speech in a way that he can be obtaining immediate feedback from them at times needing them to reply through posing simple questions to them.
The environment around where one is learning is important if during extraordinary times one would remember the lessons and associate them with what was happening for example whatever one is taught during a new year’s day or birthday may be retained as he will be associating it with the occasion perhaps the joy during such times.
Issues like marriage proposals are usually done in extra ordinary locations as the parties involved wish to have something unique to associate with such special requests or pronouncements.
If you give a child sweet food when teaching him certain lessons then he will relate them to that taste and would be remembering them whenever he thinks of such food.
During the time of peace any teaching which may provoke war is usually taken with seriousness. Similarly during the time of war any comment that may bring peace is taken with seriousness and fondly remembered. Such pronouncements are full of emotions to both the speaker and the audience.
