“Are we going to starve ourselves to death?” Most Kenyan souls are asking. The cost of living in Kenya has increased at an incredible rate. Rise of essential commodities such as cooking oil which initially costed 270 per litre has increased to 390 and 400 in considerate of brands.
The rise of petroleum has made the mode of transportation expensive. Exportation and importation of commodities to and fro other countries has become hectic due to rise of taxation and this have resulted shooting of economic rate to an exponential state.
Citizens who depended on cereals from other countries are now facing trying time during this period since, the rise of essential commodities and taxation has affected their standards of living drastically.
Students of high institutions are also facing hard time due to rise of commodities. Business persons encircling the institutions, tend to think that students are incurring money from parents and the government H. E. L. B LOAN hence doubling or increasing the rate of commodities.
Kenyans are urging the government to come up with ways to curb up with this issue.
