Keroche Breweries Chief Executive Officer Tabitha Karanja is the official United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Nakuru County senatorial aspirant.
Ms Karanja was declared the winner after trouncing two men whom she was contesting with under Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s party.
She was declared the winner after garnering 98,439 votes.
Her closest challenger Daniel Gichanga was supported by 12,240 voters while the third aspirant, Andrew Yatich got 8,043 votes.
After being declared the winner, an elated Ms Karanja said, ” my sincere appreciation to you great people of Nakuru county for overwhelmingly support and nominating me as your UDA Nakuru Senator flag bearer in the forthcoming August General election. To my worthy competitors, who have resolved to concede and support my candidature for the great good of party and Nakuru residence, I look forward and commit to working with you as a team to realize the dreams of Nakuru residence”.
She added, “To my supporters and campaign team thanks for believing in my ability and aptitude. A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. We have just begun our success journey correctively we are destined for greatness. My Salutations to our UDA party leader H.E Dr. William Ruto, election BoardΒ and officials who sacrificed their time to deliver this nomination in aΒ peaceful manner.Β Asante sana!! I will hoist the UDA flag high with pride and affection”.
