East Africa Pentecostal Churches Bishop Samuel Muguna has urged Kenyans and especially the youth to register as voters in high numbers so that their vote count in 2027.
“Am urging all our members and citizens to register as voters because it is what will count, not making noise or violence,” Muguna said.
There has been a low voter registration turnout that kicked off on September 29. IEBC targets 6.3 million new voters but only 7,048 have registered so far.
Muguna spoke at the East African Pentecostal Churches Headquarters in Meru town where he met pastors from across the country.

He said unity of purpose and peace is good for the country ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
“We urge the opposition and the government to avoid reckless statements that might trigger violence in the country, ” Muguna said.
He said those leaders who were elected in 2022 should not be campaigning but should instead concentrate on delivering their electoral pledges.
“Kenyans have a right to choose who they want to elect accordingly,” Muguna said.
On domestic violence the Bishop said family stability is good as it is the foundation of the church and a nation and hence domestic violence and family break outs is not good and should be avoided.
On HIV/AIDS the bishop said that Kenyans should get saved and stop immorality and stay faithful to their married spouses.
He urged the government to make sure education is free and accessible to all as it is the best gift parents can give to their children.
