With Kenya’s International Private Medical Insurance (IMPI) market projected to grow by more than 10% annually amid rising demand for quality medical cover and cross-border healthcare access, AXA Global Healthcare has announced a strategic collaboration with Old Mutual General Insurance Kenya and Executive Healthcare Solutions (EHS)to expand IPMI solutions across the region.
The partnership, which took effect from 1 October 2025, will see the exclusive distribution of AXA Global Healthcare policies in Kenya by local broker Executive Healthcare Solutions , and locally insured by Old Mutual. Combining AXA’s world-class healthcare expertise with Old Mutual and EHS’ trusted local presence. The agreement strengthens Kenya’s position as a key gateway for international private medical insurance partnerships in Africa, aligning global best practices with new local regulatory requirements.
Japheth Ogalloh, Managing Director, Old Mutual General Insurance Kenya, said that they are proud to collaborate with AXA Global Healthcare in delivering high-quality, globally recognized health insurance solutions to individuals and businesses in Kenya.

Under the collaboration, AXA Global Healthcare will through Executive Healthcare Solutions will provide international health insurance solutions tailored for individuals and SMEs, providing customers with seamless access to global medical care while ensuring compliance with kenyan laws and industry standards. The product, Global Executive Health Plan (GEHP) will be locally insured by Old Mutual General Insurance. The deal includes the renewal-based transfer of EHS’s existing IPMI customer portfolio across several African markets.

This announcement follows AXA Global Healthcare’s recent market expansion in the UAE, as the company continues to build momentum in key global growth regions.
