The Christian Foundation Fellowship (CFF) church has condemned acts by a section of bloggers who have gone on social media to malign their names.

The clergy who vowed to take legal action on the bloggers who have since been identified said that this will act as a warning to those who tarnish other people’s names without verifying information in the name of content creation.

According to reverend Francis Machira representing Nairobi diocesan region during a press statement in Kiambu town said that the defamation viral video going round the social media of Bishop Michael Wanderi is false.

“As the diocesan council we have walked and worked with Bishop Micheal Wanderi and we have proved that he is a man called by God. His grace to teach the word, the love his has for the community and the integrity is beyond bar,” read Machira.

The clergy said that it was with deep regret that somebody decided to defame the name of the Bishop by misleading the public using parables to insinuate that Bishop has lowered his integrity.

The Bishop was accused for allegedly impregnating an underage girl seven years ago when she was 16 years old in Nakuru county, Ngorika village during a a gospel crusade in the area.

The Bishop is allegedly said to have lured the lady identified as Njoki by promising her a job which led to the birth of a boy.

“The bishop has no church in the said place nor has he ever held a crusade in Nakuru or even know the said person,” the clergy said.

The clergy wished to notify and clarify members and friends of CFF that whatever was seen on social media which in turn dragged the name of the bishop was not correct, inaccurate and false.

The clergy said that after following up  with the series of events, they noted that someone did that intentionally and a legal action will follow.

They called on all those that follow Bishop on all social media platform’s to remain calm be vigilant and be in prayer.

Pastor John Blessed said that Bishop Wanderi has held many prayer crusades in many areas across the country but has not in the area where he is accused of committing the act,

“We are here to condemn the blogging of lies as it is bad and it has been putting the men and women of the cloth alot of injuries. Families have been harassed and put in bad light. Christians who believe through the clergy have been injured too because we see this as an act against the body of Christ and the word of God,’ he said.

Pastor Phyllis said that there are people using social media to extort money from people and are hurting people.

“When we hear that someone is seeking for money through our Bishop, we feel bad and this habit of maligning peoples name for extortion should end,” she said.

Mc Chris Favoured a social media influencer who posted the video of the girl speaking about her ordeal cleared the air saying that during the video no names were mentioned and it was a section of bloggers who mentioned the name of the bishop in the comment section..

“I want to clarify that it Bishop Wanderi is innocent and i do not know him and there is nowhere in my video i mentioned his name. Bloggers leave alone Bishop,” he said.

Njoki in a video said that she has never met or seen Bishop and is not the one who impregnated her.
