Worth Noting:
- “That is a slip of the tongue from Governor George Natembeya. Nobody has been taken anywhere, nobody has been taken anywhere. Our leadership is intact. The speaker of the national assembly Dr. Moses Wetangula is leading, CS Susan Nakhumicha is among one of the best performing CSs in the country.” Hon. Wanyonyi added.
- During Tuesday Jamhuri Day celebrations, governor George Natembeya had called out Ford Kenya Leaders who are fighting his leadership, and calling for the fold up of the party to join UDA. UDA SG Cleophas Malala had called on all parties under the Kenya Kwanza to dismantle their parties and join UDA.

Ford Kenya Leaders in Trans Nzoia County led by Ferdinand Wanyonyi MP Kwanza on Wednesday during a press briefing with journalists blasted Governor George Natembeya on his remarks about folding the party to join United Democratic Party (UDA).
According to the Lawmaker, the governor has no rights to meddle on the issues of Ford Kenya, as it is one of the oldest political parties in the country after KANU. Hon. Wanyonyi said the leadership of the party is stable and capable of running its business as its members have shown leadership in the capacities they are.
“George Natembeya he has no reason to say what he has said. I want to remind him that Ford Kenya is the second oldest party in Kenya after KANU, and we are not folding to join UDA, it is a democracy, why do you want to have one party state?” Hon. Wanyonyi questioned.

UDA SG cleophas Malala had called on all parties under the Kenya Kwanza to dismantle their parties and join UDA.
“People of UDA fight with your Ford Kenya counterparts, because your party leader the president said all the parties under Kenya Kwanza to be dissolved and join UDA. The Ford Kenya people should be grateful that the president gave them the National Assembly Speaker, health CS and prime cabinet. The party should dissolve and join UDA.” Governor George Natembeya said.
The governor however, clarified that his statehouse visit was meant for development for the county, as he had convened leaders from the county from various political parties on status visit for the good of the people of Trans Nzoia.
The remarks have however been received bitterly by the leaders from the county, Margaret Wanjala, Ford Kenya National Vice Treasurer and nominated MCA, in solidarity with MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi further refuted the statement by the governor as misguided and lose of focus in his party leadership. In recent days Kiminini and Cherangani lawmakers Kakai Bissau and Patrick Simiyu respectively have been seen working closely with Ford Kenya, the governor said Ford Kenya has started snatching and sabotaging members of his party DAP- Kenya.
“I was shocked by the governor’s remarks, that Ford Kenya should be folded into UDA. I want to tell governor George Natembeya he being the deputy party leader, he should stop talking about the issues of Ford Kenya and focus on his party. We shall have all his members joining our party.” Nominated MCA Margaret said.
Earlier, governor George Natembeya had linked his troubles and summons by the NCIC to some members of the UDA and Ford Kenya parties over his stand on dividing a section of Trans Nzoia County to proposed Mt. Elgon county by the Sabaot community, which political activists in the region have linked to his fallout with the DG Philomena Bineah.
The two have not been seen in public for the last few months, and in October the DG Philomena Bineah was in Senate where she alleged some governor George Natembeya’s supporters threatened her, prompting her move to work from Nairobi.
