To the South African Women, as you celebrate your day today, simply let it sink in that you are enough. Stand up for yourself, do not be pompous but show your young ones that a woman got strength too!
Be independent, work, have a business or something that put in income so that you do not solely depend on your partner or provider. That shall give you freedom of expression and decision making.
In the scourge of Gender based violence and too much killings as a woman protect yourself and know the safety measures.
Do you dress to impress or to cover the vital parts? It is a call now to each woman in this freedom era to know that 1 in 7 women is raped daily and we must apply more safety precautions. Does it mean our dressing get us in trouble? Partly but a rapist got no excuse to do that, nevertheless.
We must also look into the relationship we get into, a lot of step fathers are violating some children not only the daughters but here and there cases of boy being raped like the recent one of a sleep over that went wrong in Cape Town, is a clear indication of same sex attraction on the rise and putting the child under threat in terms of guardians and closer family unit being disoriented. People expected to be caregivers, uncles and aunts, friends, and step family are now betraying such small beings by violating them.
The law shall always take its course but we need the mothers to apply more caution as the safeguard of the young ones.
A woman today must drink with caution, and rather have more drinks at home with family. Bars are no longer much safer. Be with close friends when going out and meet virtual friends in person with a friend or at the mall and leave a trail of where you are going, as more killings are happening. Human trafficking is on the rife too, simply stay safe as a woman.
Have faith and let that faith be based on the freedom of speech, freedom of worship, no segregation and taking away the rights of a certain group.
Respect is imperative to all human beings, love conquers all, but let not any kind of love kill you, or put you in a corner. Simply live, shine and be a blossoming flower.
Learn to listen, be willing to keep quiet at times so that others speak, spread love and learn new skills and have a hobby, shine and be alluring!
Can a woman be single and be happy? Yes, she can and it’s all about working hard and the mindset.
Happy Women’s day mei chomies!😍📕✍️
