Jubilee will be the party to beat in Murang’a County as per plans by senatorial aspirant Professor Peter Kagwanja who led other aspirants seeking various elective seats in that county to declare that they are ready popularize that party in preparation to August general elections.
Speaking on Thursday 24th March, the Kenyan intellectual, adviser, reform strategist and policy thinker on governance, security and African affairs urged the party followers to support the revamped party as the party leadership like him focus into entering the interiors of the county to sell the party policies to the electorates.
He promised to reach many of the locations which the previous party campaigners have not been able to penetrate.
Supporting his sentiments, other leaders of the Jubilee party present said they have given the party a face lift after discovering the mistakes they made in the past and correcting them.
Firing a warning shot to outsiders, Kagwanja reminded those in press conference that they will find the county residents ready for elections and waiting for August date to vote for the Jubilee party aspirant, so they should enter Murang’a County with a lot of respect.
He assured the party leader, President Kenyatta of their support, “we shall support President Uhuru Kenyatta, Jubilee party and Murang’a County”
He went ahead and warned those aspiring to be governor of Murang’a County that once elected one should be aware that as a senator he will be vigilant to ensure that the county resources are not misappropriated.
The Jubilee party followers have high hopes that their party will have free and fair nominations as those elected during the nominations have high chances of winning the general elections.
Citing gospel according to the book of Matthew 27:16 the scholar cum politician reminded his party bosses not to short change anyone during the nominations.

“You cannot put off fire in your house so as to relocate to your neighbours place for warming yourself as he can throw you out at any time as he wish,” a Jubilee follower remarked.
They also called for peaceful campaigns and sought God’s guidance as we head towards the campaign period and general elections.
Among those contesting for senatorial seat include Prof. Peter Kagwanja, Ambassador Kembi Gitura, Pius Kinuthia and Joe Nyutu among others.
