The Managing Director of the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), Esther Ngari, was on Friday honoured with the prestigious Elder of the Burning Spear (EBS) by His Excellency President William Ruto.

The national honour recognizes MD. Ngari’s exemplary leadership and her unwavering commitment to strengthening standards, quality assurance, and consumer protection across the country. Since her appointment, MD. Ngari has steered KEBS with distinction, driving key reforms that have enhanced institutional efficiency, improved market surveillance, and reinforced public confidence in the quality of goods circulating in Kenya.
Her transformative leadership has positioned KEBS as a more transparent, responsive, and professionally grounded institution that continues to safeguard the interests of consumers, manufacturers, and traders alike.
