Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Waqo Dulacha Ejersa has reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to transparency, accountability and efficient management of the country’s healthcare supply chain, following his appearance before the Senate Standing Committee on Health.
During the session, Dulacha responded to issues raised in statements pending before the committee, offering comprehensive updates and clarifications on matters under consideration. His appearance sent a clear signal: KEMSA is not shying away from scrutiny — it is actively welcoming it.
Dulacha emphasised the authority’s dedication to strengthening the availability of quality, affordable and essential health commodities across the country, while continuously improving operational efficiency and service delivery at every level.
The engagement also underscored KEMSA’s resolve to work collaboratively with Parliament and other stakeholders in addressing emerging issues, enhancing governance and reinforcing public confidence in Kenya’s national medical supply chain.
Under Dulacha’s leadership, KEMSA has continued to prioritise transparency, institutional reforms and responsive stakeholder engagement as part of its broader drive to support the country’s universal healthcare ambitions. His proactive approach to accountability demonstrates that the authority is serious about one thing above all else: ensuring that healthcare facilities get the medical supplies they need to serve Kenyans — reliably, efficiently and without excuse.
