Kabete Member of Parliament Githua Wamacukuru has been awarded the First Class Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear CBS in recognition of his outstanding service and contribution to national development.
In a message of appreciation, the legislator expressed gratitude to President William Samoei Ruto for bestowing the honour, describing it as a humbling recognition of service to the people and the country at large.
Mr Wamacukuru also thanked the residents of Kabete Constituency for entrusting him with the privilege to serve, noting that their support and confidence in his leadership played a central role in his journey. He said the award was not an individual achievement but a reflection of collective effort and shared progress.
The CBS award is among Kenya’s highest national honours, reserved for individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, integrity, and impact in public service. Recipients are recognised for their dedication to advancing national interests and improving the lives of citizens.
Over the years, Mr Wamacukuru has been credited with spearheading key development initiatives in Kabete, focusing on infrastructure improvement, education support, and community empowerment. His leadership has seen the implementation of projects aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening service delivery across the constituency.
Reaffirming his commitment to public service, the MP said the recognition would inspire him to work even harder to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Kabete.
He emphasized that the honour strengthens his resolve to continue transforming the constituency and delivering on development promises, guided by accountability, transparency, and service to the people.
