The current situation in the country is the fourth coming general elections. This is whereby the political leaders who are vying for different position in the fourth coming government are giving the promises to the citizens some which they can fulfill while others which even themselves know that they are theoretical part of the matter. They give false promises “empty promises “which they never accomplish whenever they are elected by the Kenyan citizens to the positions of their dreams.
They normally enter into the villages and look at what is disturbing them during their daily functioning and later take them as their manifestos to the citizens of that geographical area. This is for example in most of the rural areas there common problems such as poor roads, inadequate power supply (electricity), inadequate water supply, inadequate classrooms in our schools, improper security and unemployment .All this become the manifestos of political leaders of that geographical area.
After the election and also they have won those positions it becomes over between the citizens and their leaders , since they never manifest their manifestos to their voters until the next elections whereby they came again only being have changed their political parties and their coalitions while the manifestos remaining the same again.
For example the ruling government had promised electricity power to all homesteads in the country. In our home the power had not yet reached while it is their last year of ruling, as well as supply of water has also remained a dream since they have not yet reached this target. It is unfortunate that even the leaders who are vying for this year they have exactly the same manifestos of last general elections but only twisted a little bit to confuse the voters and later be twisted to be used in 2027 elections.
It is the high time for the Kenyan citizens to wake up and pull up their socks and elect leaders who have visions and not liars. It is the high time to say it over to all ghost leaders who appears to the citizens during campaigns and after they have won the elections they disappear from the citizens without manifesting their manifestos to those voted for them until the next general elections.
