Tower Sacco has expanded its footprint after opening a new branch in Makongeni Estate in Thika, Kiambu County.
The new branch is strategically located along the Thika-Garissa highway, BAT, opposite the Christian Church International and is taunted to offer financial solutions to individuals and businesses in the region.
The event was graced by Mr. Peter N. Ndegwa, the Chief Officer of Cooperative Development, County Government of Kiambu; the Board of Directors led by Chairman Peter Ngugi; and staff led by the CEO, Mr. Patrick Njenga; partners; and esteemed members and potential members.
The expansion follows the recent opening of another branch in Nyeri town, bringing the number of Tower Sacco branches to 31 across nine counties.
The Sacco management reaffirmed its commitment in supporting growth of businesses both at individual level and company levels. It’s is expected to enhance growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the region.
“The opening of the branch forms part of our decentralization strategy. The Sacco has made this strategic choice to enhance the effectiveness and impact of our operations in the various corners of the country. Our new branch reflects the Saccoโs unwavering commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our members,” the Chairman said.
Tower Sacco was founded in 1976 by a group of teachers in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County and has since grown into one the leading financial institutions in the country. It has a membership of more than 250,000 members with an asset base of more than sh 20 billion.
The Sacco offers a wide range of financial products including savings accounts affordable loans and investment opportunities.
It operates under the regulation of the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) and has an extensive service network that includes over 300 agents as well as mobile banking services for enhanced accessibility.
Investors in Thika welcomed the new institution noting that it brings financial services closer to them while offering competitive financial products.
