Playing football, riding a bike, swimming, short and long distance running, cooking, dancing, boxing, cheer leading, iron smelting are ventures which can be commercialized and be earning enough to sustain someone economically.
Every society has the positions that they highly regard with every parent wishing to be associated with those people occupying such positions. In Kenyan society those who study medicine, law and pilot are highly regarded.
All the three among others are important and most of those in these fields are rated above average in excellence in the society.
Public service is envied by many as there is fame, networking and prestige to those who work in such places that is why you find that preachers, musicians and politicians are well known and respected by many.

An engineering student who liked playing with simple tools in childhood can easily understand his subject if the instructor bases his lessons on simple tools, how they are constructed and how they work as he would easily recall how they used to be constructed and how they worked. It is from there you can build up that mega structure in his mind.
All disciplines are somehow interrelated for example you can fail to make a cut in the medical or legal field but be a reporter in those fields much as you are not practicing those courses directly the public know what is happening in them through you that is why a medical reporter through association is respected almost like medical practioners and the same case applies for a court reporter.
Everything we see in life is supported by many other sectors for example a great politician need to groom well so he require a stylist as well as to feed well, in this respect a dietician and a cook is required. All the supportive sectors are as important as the main sector so do not underrate yourself if you offer supportive services.
Some careers are great due to their popularity not that they are superior to others for example of late we have seen information technology courses gaining popularity as the technology gets advanced and many people are embracing it in their day to day activities.
Do not underrate what you are gifted in do it to your level best who knows perhaps it will gain popularity and become tomorrow’s most sought after career. Do what you know best full of passion and your work day will never be boring. Let us see life in a 360 degrees embrace all goodies that it offers, use our strengths to promote as many fields as possible, enjoy unity in diversity.
