If you reside in a compound where there are trees you will bear me witness that every early morning the birds are happy to welcome new day with their beautiful voices. They do not require clock or alarm like us human beings but does not fail to remember that it is an early morning nor do they get tired of being appreciative. A similar case can be observed among cocks they too are eager to mark every new day with the rooster crowing.
In times of threat the rooster are eager to alert those around them that all is not right through crowing, any other kind of disturbance like strange sound like that of a car, wild animals, hawks, eagles and people will make the cock to crow alerting fellow chickens to be aware of the unfolding issues.
A cow on heat keep mounting on fellow cows, she is restless and alert to its surroundings to make the farmer easily notice what is happening and take necessary actions. Once she gives birth she is able to recognize her calf from a group through the smell. Pheromones provide unique olfactory signals that act as internal receptors for mom, and help her differentiate her baby from all the others. To make her bond strong she usually licks her calf. When the calves are taken away from them some cows bellow and cry for hours others move to the direction where their calves are being moved if someone is trying to separate the two.
When happy the cows jump in to the air and sprint around to demonstrate their excitement. When you are strange to them cows will stare at you as a sign of curiosity to assess whether you are a threat to them. When happy with you cows will tend to form a strong social bond with you by following you around, letting you pet them / cuddling, playing with you, mooing in a friendly way and licking you.
To signal that a cow recognizes you as its owner they stare at you when they want something and look from you to the direction of the object they want you to see till you understand. They are also able to recognize each other through vocalizations.
Other animals have different and systematic way of doing things. When you think of cats and dogs their sense of smell is quiet strong better than human beings, cats use their whiskers to enhance their senses of touch and balance. Dogs have better hearing than that of humans despite being born deaf it takes them only 21 days to develop sense of hearing. Once old enough their hearing is 4 times better than that of humans and can hear from about a quarter mile away.
Cats hear sounds of varying frequencies; they are especially adept at hearing high-frequency sounds. Cats have an extra fold on their ears, called Henry’s Pocket which helps to enhance high-frequency sounds that may be inaudible to people, such as the squeak of a mouse.
Cats can see in darkness much better than human beings. This is assisted by their pupils’ ability to dilate in low light situations and possession of special reflective layer called the tapetum lucidum that allows them to reflect more light to the back of the eye.

A teacher not only knows the names of his students but also mannerisms and could easily tell who is fully concentrating in what is being taught in class and who is having social problems hence unsettled in class.
While still teaching he can come up with creative ways to help the students easily understand the subject even make them to develop love for it.
Listening to a preacher he can easily relate what is currently happening to what used to happen years ago and come up with various ways to handle issues in a better way than we currently do. Some can interpret dreams others can command spirits which an ordinarily person may not be aware about.
A driver is able to listen at the sound of the car and tell whether there is a mechanical problem or not. He can accurately approximate features more so obstructions on various roads and know how to easily navigate around them. Even without having to look where it is located he can engage a certain gear, change the volume of the music system or put break to the car.
A medicine man is able to know which herb cures which illness and which part of the herb whether fruits, leaves, bark, stem or roots then prescribe proper dosage. He can look at you whether in the eyes or nails and ask accurate questions relating to your illness. He can touch you and make conclusions according to how he feel and possible health conditions that you have.
A farmer can observe the weather pattern and predict how the harvest will be whether plenty or poor. He can observe wind and make several interpretations about the weather conditions in the near future. Seeing certain insects they predict what is likely to happen with high degree of accuracy.
All what we are specialists in whether naturally or through training is what makes us special. We should be appreciative for having such knowledge. Do not ignore any form of knowledge regardless to its source as it is valuable for survival.
Let us life as per the available knowledge and always try to better ourselves from one day to the other through acquiring more and more knowledge.
