President William Ruto has a new Aide-De-Camp.
The new ADC will be Colonel Fabian Lengusuranga from the Kenya Army.
Col. Lengusuranga takes over from Brigadier Stelu Lekolool who has been promoted to Brigadier and redeployed to the Department of Defence headquarters in Hurlingham area in Nairobi.
Interestingly, the two hails from Samburu county.
Colonel Lengururanga’s first assignment was yesterday when he accompanied the President in Mathira, Nyeri County during the burial of the late Jack Reriani Gachagua, an elder brother to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Brigadier Lekolol was also present but was not in official uniform. He was driven in the vehicle assigned to the Presidential Escort Commander and was always a few metres from the Head of State in what could be to watch how the new ADC was carrying out tasks expected of him.
The new ADC is deputised by Lt. Col. Damaris Agnetta from the Kenya Army. She takes over from Racheal Nduta Kamui who has also been promoted to a full Colonel and also deployed to DoD.
On Monday, Colonel Kamui carried out her duties as an ADC where she accompanied the President to Mukuru area in Nairobi during his inspection of ongoing affordable and social housing projects.
Earlier on Monday, Brigadier Lekolol similarly performed his last duties as ADC at State House during the Cabinet meeting where he accompanied President Ruto to the meeting venue.
The former ADC and his deputy were from the Kenya Navy and Kenya Air Force respectively.
