Deputy headteacher in Police custody for allegedly defiling the minor

A middle aged deputy teacher is detained at Manga police station awaiting to be arraigned in Court tomorrow for allegedly defiling a minor 12 years.
It is alleged that the accused person Jeremiah Masese a deputy teacher in one of the schools in Nyamira County defiled a minor on 6/10/2022.
According to the parent of the minor said that, he got a call from the insider of the school that, the headteacher has defiled the minor.
It is said that the pupils were going for evening chapel and the accused person called the minor to his office and closed the door.
According to the parent, the other teachers noticed a strange behavior from the minor and were in shock where she was coming from while the other pupils were in the hall.
“My daughter admitted that the deputy headteacher did the act to her, that is when the teachers rushed her to one of the health facility to seek medication,” he said.
The parent said that according to the medical report the accused person did the act to the minor.
The parent has demanded justice for her daughter.
Confirming the incidence Borabu OCPD Josphat Chacha said that they have launched the investigation and have arrested the accused person and is in police custody awaiting to be arraigned in Keroka Law Court to be charged with the Sexual Offence.
