Rotary Club of Nyeri President Elect Isaac Gichohi Mwangi with other officials at Wandumbi Special School yesterday

The Rotary Club Of Nyeri led by President Serah Githaiga joined the rest of Kenyans in celebrating ‘Huduma Day’ by visiting Wandumbi Special School for the mentally challenged children.
The that also included new officials led by its President Elect Isaac Gichohi Mwangi carried out charitable work that included painting some classrooms and donating to the homes children.
The home houses children who are aged between 7 and 18 years who have been diagnosed with mild and severe problems.
The children require daipers, blankets, mattresses, sanitary towels and medication.
Some of the kids are talented with bead work where they make beautiful Kikuyu baskets commonly known as ‘ciondo’.
They also do weaving, carpentry and joinery, painting digital literacy and also skills on daily living.
