Laikipia governor Joshua Irungu marks Utamaduni day by visiting security officers

Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu yesterday marked this year’s Utamaduni day by visiting security officers in volatile part of the county.

The governor and his team paid a courtesy call to the officers in their operation camps along Laikipia conservancy in Githiga ward .

He was joined by the area  security officers in Kirima lead by  area OCPD together with the ACC.

The team commended the officers in uniform for the great service of restoring peace along the area that is characterized by perennial conflicts.

The Governor promised to drill boreholes and 25 houses for the officers in Miteta, Mahua and Kamwenje Police Posts.

He assured the officers of the commitment of the county government of Laikipia and that of the national government in ensuring peace for every Kenyan.
