Wanjohi. P. Mugambi
I were a king
I would pipe up every life with joy
My throne would be premier
I would make time and chance so much clear
Not to fight with any other king but for the best of everyone
My art would supersede the ancient Egypt
My physical ugliness won’t make me loose a mate
For my art will bring them like Queen of Sheba
Beauty, the shaft, would be nothing but vanity
And love no sweet love would be a mere thing in this world
If i were king
Any sin done will be unforgivable
I would not give my money freely for it would be misunderstood
In fact
In my reign not even one will be allowed to borrow
People should carry their own cross
It will be the age of gold and all will definately appear
If i were king
If i were king
No one will publish feelings
No one will joke with a heart
For the regret will be too late
For my judgement would be harsh
Only if i would be king
Yes if i would
